Writing
Students are learning how to write a sentence. In order to write a sentence we need to answer the questions Who is doing it? and What are they doing? Sentences need a capital letter at the beginning, and a punctuation mark at the end.

What does a paragraph look like?
We are taking our sentences and making a paragraph. A paragraph is 4 sentences put together using transition words. ( in the beginning, ten, next, lastly, first, finally etc.) Sentences: 1. In the beginning, Dorothy's house went into the air. 2. Then, Dorthy's house landed in Munchkin Land. 3. Then, Dorothy needed to go home. 4. Next, Dorothy met Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Lion. 5. Finally, they made it to Emerald City and Dorothy got to go home. Paragraph: .......> ( helps them remember to indent) ----->In the beginning, Dorothy's house went into the air. Then, Dorthy's house landed in Munchkin Land. Then, Dorothy needed to go home. Next, Dorothy met Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Lion. Finally, they made it to Emerald City and Dorothy got to go home. |
